Ukraine is the Flashpoint in America’s Crusade Against Russia

Imperialist AmericaAll sincere leftists should know that the crisis in Ukraine is all about US geostrategic advantage as well as furthering neoliberal reforms. The US will suffer no other rising power like Russia or China to challenge its hegemony and quest for absolute world domination. Russia is capitalist, yes, but all capitalist states are not equal; I believe it is clearly the lesser evil and is not an imperial power, unlike the US. I think Russia should be given the same sympathy and qualified support as other national liberation movements because it is under threat from the West. It doesn’t want to return to the disastrous third-world conditions of the 90’s in the wake of the collapse of the Soviet Union. Furthermore, it should be clearly understood that Ukraine is one more lily pad forward base in the end game against Russia and China. The world will be a much worse place with absolutely no checks on American imperialism and neoliberal capitalism.

Also, about 20% of the Russian State Duma (legislature) is held by the Communist Party. A majority of Russians have a favorable attitude toward communism – that’s got to count for something. Our support should go to Russia unequivocally, as long as it is under threat of US aggression and as long as it continues to resist it.

Of course, the escalation of the situation in the Crimea is worrying, as it is not the first time that this region has served as a battlefield for allied powers against Russia. It would seem that part of Ukraine will split from the pro-western elements, and federate with Russia once again. Let’s hope that they are left alone, to decide their own future, unlike independent Ukraine has been.
