Saladin Muhammad at Moral Monday: Raleigh, NC – May 19, 2014

Saladin Muhammad is chairman of Black Workers for Justice, headquartered in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, U.S. The Moral Monday demonstrations began in Raleigh, NC and have spread throughout the Southeastern U.S. They are demonstrations against austerity and for workers’ rights and to generally advance the interests of the working class. It is a growing Left/Progressive/Populist movement that has sprung up to oppose the ultra-right-wing Republican (and its Democrat collaborators) legislature pushing through increasingly reactionary, anti-labor, and austerity policies.

Good luck to them, but I would guess that they have an uphill struggle over there.
    Regards from England, Pete.

Oh yes, North Carolina is probably the most anti-labor state in the country. Private-sector unions are barely tolerated while public-sector unions are actually illegal!
