You might even be able to find it at your local library. It’s a quick and easy read. The main techniques of persuasion, each with its own chapter are:

  1. Reciprocation
  2. Commitment and Consistency
  3. Social Proof
  4. Liking
  5. Authority
  6. Scarcity

These methods of persuasion are very powerful and can elicit an automatic, involuntary response; humans are hardwired so-to-speak to respond to them even when they are conscious of the fact that they are being solicited.
