I just discovered this film although it’s been around for a few years now. It was apparently leaked out of North Korea, or at least that’s the story. At any rate, it’s very interesting and an excellent course on Western propaganda. It’s pretty much spot on, except I would take issue with a few points from the film; for example, that there are 38 million homeless in the U.S. The true number is certainly horrible enough, but 38 million, over 10% of the population must be quite a stretch. Also, when mentioning the “Western 1%” sociopathic elites, photos of Slobodan Milošević of the former Yugoslavia and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran are flashed across the screen along with real criminals like Bush, Blair, Obama, etc. I would not put Milošević or Ahmadinejad in their company.
Probably the best way to watch the entire documentary is to go to Fandor.com and sign up for a two-week free trial. Fandor is where I found the Soviet cartoons I posted a week or so ago. It’s actually a great place to find tons of independent, foreign and other hard to find or obscure films.
