  • Listen now: Brian Becker, a national leader of the Party for Socialism and Liberation, explains the so-called “Cold War,” the half-century conflict between the United States and other imperialists against the socialist countries struggling to break free from colonial and imperialist domination. The Cold War period is marked by both hot wars and cold wars, but most importantly was a class-based conflict between the workers and oppressed on one side and the bosses on the other. This, of course, contrasts with war based on inter-imperialist rivalry exemplified in the First and Second World Wars.
