Top Russian Writer Nikolai Starikov Explains Who Is Behind Europe’s Refugee Crisis

I think Starikov is on to something here. He’s probably right, but let’s just remember that it is the US imperialists with their British junior partner that is orchestrating this. The flow of immigrants must be stemmed, but this should not justify bigotry and hatred against many of these folks who are genuine victims of imperialism. It’s definitely true, though, that the people most destitute and therefore deserving of our sympathy could not afford to flee their war-torn countries on their own. – PC

That’s an interesting conspiracy theory indeed. Much of what he says makes, but the ‘old hatred’ of the US and UK overwhelms some of the points.
    Best wishes, Pete.

      Sorry, should read ‘makes sense’.

      • Prole Center says:

True, Starikov is no socialist. He has some strange views. He is a type of Russian nationalist who nevertheless defends Stalin and the Soviet Union on the grounds, I guess, that whatever his misgivings about socialism, the Soviet Union represents part of the Russian tradition or “Russian civilization.”

I think he just might be right about this refugee/migrant problem to some degree, but he seems to draw somewhat different conclusions than I do. Rather than blaming US-led capitalist imperialism, thinking like a nationalist, he sees an enemy nationality as the bad guy here – in this case, the Anglo-Saxons.
