A Look Into Donald Trump’s History With The WWE

I didn’t know about this until very recently! More evidence that US politics is just as fake as “professional” wrestling! There have been quite a few actors and pro wrestlers (performance artists) involved in American politics over the years, whether holding office or engaging in political activism and propaganda activities of various kinds. Now I hear that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is considering running for president in 2020. Hell, why not?! – PC

I see no reason why The Rock couldn’t win. After Nixon, Bush, Reagan, Trump, he is no more ridiculous a prospect.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  3. Damn, I hear you.

The best acting performance of Ronald Reagan’s career was acting as president while George Bush, George Schultz, Jim Baker, William Casey, Frank Carlucci, Nicholas Brady, Caspar Weinberger and the rest of the Ronnie Raygun Inc. psychopaths were running roughshod over the U.S. Constitution and allowing the CIA to terrorize the rest of the planet and make a fortune to put into black ops to continue terrorizing the rest of the planet…

We live in an insane society. It’s sick and twisted that people like this run OUR government and crazier that it’s actually gotten worse with donald trump in the White House.

  4. Prole Center says:

I could be wrong, but I don’t see Trump as better or worse, but just more of the same general downward trend that has been going on for decades now and would have continued under Hillary. The president is largely a figurehead.

  5. On a certain level, you’re right. However, there is a definite difference between Clinton and trump. I detest the Clintons so this has nothing to do with being a democrat – which I definitely am not. Picks for the Supreme Court alone are a good enough reason to prefer Clinton over trump. That’s an entire branch of the government, the one charged with interpreting the Constitution. But that isn’t the point I’d like to make.

A president is mostly a figurehead, but not completely. He/she still sets the tone for what an administration’s agenda will be and chooses the members of the cabinet. Yes, they all are corporate whores and will provide business executives with luxuries beyond comprehension, but not to the same extent. Some politicians would provide something for the working class and those in poverty. The GOP will attempt to take every fuckin’ thing they possibly can and give it to their corporate donors. They will privatize and deregulate the entire economy. That is the wet dream of Libertarian wackjobs running large corporations. They can’t accomplish it yet, but they will try. A piece of shit like trump put Exxon-Mobil in charge of foreign affairs. At least Clinton would have put in someone with intelligence and some semblance of a sense of responsibility for what the job entails.

But this is the actual point: for decades most politicians have manipulated opinion by cleverly lying to the public while giving away MOST of the store. trump will give away the ENTIRE store and admit what he’s doing. That isn’t about honesty. It will only normalize the raping of the working class. He does it and doesn’t hide it. When that becomes normal, the ignorant ones (tens of millions of voters) will accept this behavior as “presidential” and accept it as the next step in the (de)evolution of the office. Previously, they would lie to us, but investigative journalists would uncover most of what is happening and it would spread outrage though much of the population. This allowed us to make some changes. Now, they’ll do whatever they want and it will become normal not to question it.

Sorry I rambled on so long, but unlike most people I don’t think in 140 characters. Too many issues are far too complex for that. Thanks for engaging in conversation about things that matter. Let me know if there is anything confusing about what I wrote. It’s late and I’m tired. 😀
