A great history lesson. I also found it interesting that the “democratic” imperialist powers (US, UK, France) used the fascist powers as a weapon against the USSR and the world socialist movement in general just as they are today using ISIS for their nefarious domestic and foreign policy objectives.

Nice to see even a brief mention of the Spanish Civil War. This year is the 80th anniversary of that war, yet you would be pushed to see a single blog post or press article about the most important war of the 20th century. Because Franco won in Spain, Hitler felt ready to embark on WW2.
